June/July 2008: I have a firm belief that everything happens in life for a reason. I also believe that God has a plan for
each of us during our life spans. In a one month period I experienced the death of four people who have touched my life.
Spanning three generations I lost a friend Alix Masand (age 48), my son's friend, Addison Toole (age 13) and my aunt,
Jane Carter (age 80) all from forms of cancer. Also, my husband's cousin Patsy Harper (age 50) died from an
unexpected heart attack in her sleep.
For those that died of cancer I had been praying for them daily throughout their illnesses so how could this happen to all
of them in this short period of time? Where were the healing miracles I was requesting? Instead of doubting my faithI
have chosen to use this experience to strengthen my faith.
I remembered that God has a plan for all of us and the death of each of these people at their particular time was all part
of God's plan. Patsy's overnight death was a complete shock. This experience also reminded me of another of my
husband's cousins,Tom Sinton. Tom went to work in the World Trade Center in NYC on the morning of September 11,
2001 and was never seen again. Our human minds do not always have the capability to comprehend God's plan. We
think our time here on earth is what is most valuable. Stop and think about what is more important - life here on earth or
eternal life with God?
The death of Alix, Addison, Jane, Patsy and Tom taught many of us valuable lessons.
Are you prepared for when your time comes? Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? Are you hoping for a spot in
heaven? Stop and think about what the foundation of your faith is it made of.Is it solid rock, sand or is there no
foundation at all? Is God a daily part of your life? If not, consider making him a part of your life
so he will welcome you into heaven for eternal life.
You must earn your entry into heaven by your faith and by the way you lead your life here on earth.
Ponder this question:
In what ways is the Kingdom of Heaven the driving force, the deepest motivation, behind who
I am and the life I am leading?
We all have a path. We must make choices along that path. As I follow my path I consider my choices:
Is this the road to earthly pleasure? or Is this the path to eternal life?
I have chosen the path to eternal life.
I have stopped to consider my choices at certain junctures of my life. Sometimes a choice can be difficult but making a
commitment in your heart to God will make the choices become easier and life will flow along smoothly.
One thing is certain for all of us - everyone must die someday - are you prepared? I am.
"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter
through it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few."
Matthew 7:13-14

Just want to let you all know that God has answered my prayer in an amazing way. For the passed 2
years, I have lived in fear, anxiety and overwhelming stress. My opponents have tried to ruin my life,
they were powerful and vicious, but Jesus listened to my prayer. He is the most powerful and the
almighty God, His love is so wonderful, He delivered me out of the horrible pit of my life. He can do the
same for you if you ask Him and trust Him. Thank you again Jesus, please let goodness and mercy
